We have only been back for a little over a week and already we are planning out our next trip to Buenos Aires. Our little getaway was just what we needed. Even though it rained two out of the four days we were there and we definitely didn't touch 2/3 of our 'to do' list we still had an awesome time.

I really should be packing right now but I couldn't resist posting a quick one. We're leaving for Buenos Aires (Argentina) in a couple of hours and hubby and I have been singing The Go Go's 'Vacation' (or is it The Bangles?) since we woke up at 7:30 this morning. Excited much?In our five years together we have never been on a vacation by ourselves, meaning without other people accompanying us. Even our short but sweet honeymoon was shared with two friends of ours. So for this, our first trip alone, we decided to go to a place that holds some special meaning for both of us.

All three Christmases we've spent here were strange. It's tough to get used to the Christmas in Summer, Southern Hemisphere thing. The first year (2009) we had just arrived and hadn't met any friends yet so we went to a gringo bar uptown where they served good beers and Mexican (NACHOS!) - I called my family on Skype on my iPod touch with no video.
